General Description:
Seeking a talented and self-motivated Additive Manufacturing (AM) engineer to fully execute the printing operations using Seurat’s proprietary metal 3D printer. The ideal candidate demonstrates a comprehensive capability to produce AM parts, post-process AM parts, manage printing supplies, and upkeep production equipment. Additive manufacturing engineer will also work closely with process engineers to develop printing applications and execute the design of experiments for product and technology development.
Qualifications:
Use proprietary or commercial software such as Materialise Magics or Netfabb to generate data files for 3D printing (additive manufacturing).
Configure and operate sophisticated industrial material processing equipment.
Execute printing operations and generate reports.
Conduct post-processing and inspection on printed parts.
Conduct basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
Manage print supplies.
Understand mechanical design principles. Be able to create drawings using CAD software such as Solidworks and comprehend mechanical part and assembly drawings.
Strong verbal and written communications skills.
Work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
Requirements:
B.S. in engineering (mechanical engineering is preferred).
5+ years of experience in engineering and/or manufacturing-related field.
Travel requirement up to 15%.
Preferred Experiences:
· Experience with commercial additive manufacturing data preparation software (Materialise Magics, NetFabb, etc.) is strongly preferred.
Experience in fabricating components using LPBF (laser powder bed fusion) printers is preferred.
Experience in operating sophisticated industrial equipment.
· Experience in commonly used metal (ferrous and nonferrous) materials.
Solid background in mechanical design.
