Job Description:

Seurat is looking for a talented and team-oriented Senior Mechanical Designer. The ideal candidate will have experience designing and documenting complex high-tech capital equipment. This is a great opportunity to be part of a world-class design team, creating the fastest 3D metal printer in the world!

Job Duties:

• Design custom packaging and modify off-the-shelf enclosures to package complex electrical and mechanical assemblies.

• Design cable and hose routings.

• Produce excellent documentation including detail & assembly drawings, BOMs, cable and cable harness drawings, routings, schematics, P&ID drawings, configuration management, and ECOs.

• Take responsibility for SolidWorks and PDM administration including creating and managing design libraries, templates, etc.

• Translate the requirements of scientists and engineers from diverse disciplines into useful fixtures and a world-class product.

• Use your strong verbal and written communication skills to define problems and get buy-in for solutions.

• Guide less experienced engineers and designers in design best practices.

Skills/Qualifications:

Required:

• Expert electrical and mechanical drafting skills.

• SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and PDM.

Desired experience:

• Plumbing, cabling.

• Sheet metal design.

• Design for Manufacturability (DFM).

• SolidWorks Routing.

• Knowledge of GD&T.

• CE Mark.

• IEEE standards.

Education/Experience:

Required: 10+ years of machine design experience.

Travel:

The expectation is up to 15%.

Relocation:

A relocation package is negotiable.
