The ideal candidate will have experience architecting, developing and maintaining software for machine controls and novel electro-mechanical systems from concept to production. The ideal candidate incorporates in-depth knowledge in material sciences and metal processing with area printing-based LPBF (laser powder bed fusion) technologies to fundamentally improve materials qualities. The metal processing engineer is a key member of the process engineering team and closely collaborates with process development engineers, design engineers, and technologists to develop and improve highly complex industrial-scale materials processing processes. Qualifications: Analyze and model critical process physics (thermal, flow, phase transfer, grain formation, etc.) of Seurat’s proprietary metal 3D printing process based on area printing technology.
