Seurat is at the forefront of a transformative approach to manufacturing. We are not selling printers; instead, we’re revolutionizing the industry by being the only contract manufacturer with our state-of-the-art print factories. Our goal? To offer our customers something truly extraordinary – scaling possibilities with better parts through future-ready, high volume, green manufacturing. Today, I will unveil why we've taken this unconventional route and what it means for our customers.
Build It Right. Keep It Right.
At Seurat, we're breaking new ground with our revolutionary Area Printing® technology. It's a seismic shift for additive manufacturing  that requires the creation of machines that have never been built before. Our strategy is simple: ensure the quality and readiness of our machines to deliver parts with unrivaled economics, speed, and scalability.
Successfully launching any new technology requires being ready for the unexpected. Deploying our own machines in our own print factories enables our engineering team to swiftly make adjustments and improvements. This means minimizing production interruptions and maximizing customer satisfaction.
Laser systems are packaged into 7 Field Replaceable Units (FRUs) to minimize downtime and increase productivity.
But that's not all. By powering our factories with 100% clean energy we are also maximizing the decarbonization potential of additive manufacturing. We're not just building machines and delivering parts; we're building a sustainable future.
Customers Want Parts, Not Printers.
The traditional approach of insourcing introduces a steep learning curve for any new technology. At Seurat, we understand our OEM customers want parts that meet their quality targets, at the right price, and are delivered at the right time. OEMs are experts in product innovations, but they don’t need to become experts in operating the machine to make the parts for those innovations.
Having to lay out significant capital for a printer as well as learning how to operate, service, and maintain it just isn’t aligned with their core business – in fact – they’d rather outsource the entire manufacturing process; buy the parts when needed, and reduce upfront cost.
Partnering with Seurat is like a shortcut to additive manufacturing success, allowing OEMs to accelerate their additive journey and bring additive-enabled innovations to market at scale.
Revenue From Parts Is Predictable.
In the machine sales model, selling one printer to an interested customer is more-or-less straightforward. However, before they buy additional printers the customer needs to learn how to print parts to their required quality level and build internal confidence in the approach. Essentially, they need to become an expert in the new printer and its processes.
Mastering a new technology can take years, and this introduces a potentially significant lag time between when the customer buys their first printer and their next. This unpredictability in repeatable revenue can wreak havoc on fledgling companies as they enter the public markets.
At Seurat we sell parts. This approach enables us to create long-standing partnerships for mass production with our customers, providing reliable and predictable revenue for multiple years – the preferred path for sustainable success.
Know What You Want to Be When You Grow Up.
At Seurat, we have a clear vision for the future. Our ultimate mission is to enable manufacturers to craft and deliver next-generation products at scale. We want to change the world by enabling cost-competitive green manufacturing that can rival traditional methods on quality, speed, and cost. We partner with our customers to unlock the potential of additive manufacturing to help them quickly bring innovations to market, shore up supply chains, and reduce energy demands and emissions.
As we progress along our technology roadmap, we envision even more impressive machines, pushing the boundaries of what's possible. Think average laser power levels measured in megawatts and print beds spanning 6-10 meters, capable of printing thousands of kilograms of parts per hour. It's a vision that requires substantial capital investments, a commitment that aligns perfectly with our identity as a pioneering manufacturing company dedicated to scaling global collaboration and innovation.
The path to high volume metal part production starts at 40 hz with Seurat's patented Area Printing technology.
Conclusion: Scaling What's Possible.
Seurat’s potent combination of breakthrough technology and contract manufacturing business model is transforming the manufacturing industry. By eliminating the need to invest in their own machines, we free our customers to focus on innovating their products without compromises between high fidelity and high throughput, between design and costs, and between production and planet.
But it doesn't stop there. Our approach also ensures financial predictability and scalability, empowering us to build the machines needed to revolutionize manufacturing and decarbonize our planet.
We look forward to hearing from prospective employees, investors and customers who want to join us on our journey.
